In the context of the Nyingma school of Tibetan Buddhism, this refers to the three classes of:

• Mahayoga tantras,
• Anuyoga tantras and
• Atiyoga tantras.

In the context of the Sarma schools this refers to the single class of the Highest Yoga Tantra, which can be sub-divided into:

• Father Tantras,
• Mother Tantras and
• Non-dual Tantras.
