Oracle Functions

Oracle Functions, introduced in 2019 as part of the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), is a fully managed, serverless computing platform that enables developers to write, deploy, and invoke functions without managing any underlying infrastructure. Leveraging the Docker container model, Oracle Functions allows for the execution of code in response to events, supporting a wide range of application development needs from simple, single-purpose functions to complex, multi-functional applications. Integrated seamlessly with OCI services and based on the open-source Fn Project, Oracle Functions facilitates the development of microservices and event-driven applications, offering scalability, ease of use, and cost-efficiency by automatically managing the compute resources required and billing only for the compute time used during function execution.
