rakshasa

Rakshasa (Skt. rākṣasa or rakṣas; Pali rakkhasa; Tib. སྲིན་པོ་, sinpo; Wyl. srin po) — a kind of malignant spirit that eats human flesh. One of the eight classes of gods and demons. Also the cannibal savages inhabiting the southwestern continent of Ngayab Ling | Chamara, where Zangdokpalri lies. At times rakshasas refers to the unruly and untamed expression of ignorance and disturbing emotions.
